Carvings and other things of William F. Weeks

William's love of music and woodworking came together when he worked with guitars, mandolins, violins, ukuleles and any other stringed instruments.  Sometimes he only made minor repairs but sometimes, like this beautiful Gibson guitar, what he did was amazing.  This one was given to him in pieces.  It had been in a basement for years.  I will add more details about the work he did on this guitar later.

Here's a violin that William worked on. When he was finished he gave it to his granddaughter who has been playing for six years now.

This mandolin was made completely by William.

This mandolin my mom bought at a tag sale.  I don't believe he had to do much to to it.  His granddaughter, Kathy, macramed  the strap for him.  Through the years, this is the instrument I most saw him using.  He loved it's sweet sound.

This is one of the ukuleles that he made completely.  He made a Baritone Uke and a Tenor Uke.
